AddressLMS Energy is Australia's largest emissions reducer and the national leader in biogas-to-energy and solar on landfill. LMS requires the services of a full-time or part-time Accounting Graduate in Unley, South Australia.
As part of our team, you will collaborate with the Supervisor – Finance where your role will primarily involves assisting in the monthly and annual financial, project and fixed reporting as well as liaising with internal groups to support budgeting, forecasting and financial (accounting) analysis.

Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of end of year financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
- Support financial projects and initiatives aimed at process improvement and operational efficiency
- Assist with the monthly management and board reporting including journals, adjustments, reconciliations
- Provide financial accounting analysis to ensure the accurate recording of costs and provision of useful information for strategic decision-making
- Assist with the preparation of year-end journals, adjustments, and reconciliations
- Involvement with external auditors to ensure appropriate accounting treatment is applied to LMS’ financials and resolve queries
- Assist with tax compliance for Australia, New Zealand, and USA
- Involvement with project and fixed asset reporting and forecasts, including liaising with other Groups to ensure appropriate information is received
- Assist with Joint venture accounting for LMS’ multiple JV’s
- Assist with identifying and implementing automation / process improvements to continue to modernise the finance function
- Liaise with other Groups in the business to gain a broader understanding of the LMS business model
Eligibility:
To be successful in being considered for the position you will need to:
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce and/or Accounting, either completed or in the final year of study.
- Internship or relevant work experience in an Accounting firm is advantageous
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy
- Enthusiasm for sustainable practices and a genuine interest in the energy sector
- Adaptability and a desire to learn and develop in a growth industry
- Australian Drivers Licence
