ARRI Australia is a wholly owned subsidiary of ARRI GMBH, a 106-year old German manufacturer of cameras and lighting equipment for feature film and TV production. ARRI’s Sydney office opened in 2006 to provide sales and service support to its camera and lighting customers and resellers in Australia, New Zealand and Oceania.
We are a small but dedicated team comprising of engineering, sales, sales support as well as general management.
About the role
As the Accounting Officer you will play a crucial role in managing the financial operations of our organisation and ensuring its continued success across our region. We require an enthusiastic team member to join our North Ryde office.

Responsibilities:
- Responsible for full spectrum of accounting operations including cash collection, payment processing, payroll and monthly accounts closing
- Handle local tax reporting and submission
- Cash flow management and projection
- Review trade debtors and carry out receivable aging analysis
- Inventory management and evaluate stock devaluation
- Perform various monthly reconciliation such as bank and intercompany reconciliation
- Prepare accounts breakdown and financial analysis to evaluate operating results
- Responsible for finance and controlling month-ended in SAP
- Complete financial reporting package to headquarters
- Perform quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting
- Ensure compliance with group accounting guidelines, GAAP and internal control framework
- Handle statutory audit and complete year-ended reporting package for the group
- Liaise with bankers and auditors for treasury matters
- Handle ad hoc assignments when requested
Skills and Requirements
- Qualified Accountant preferred
- At least 5 years relevant experience
- Solid experience in managing full set of account and SAP required
- Audit experience preferable
- Good knowledge of accounting standards & taxation in Australia
- Proficient in MS Excel and Word
- Able to work independently with efficiency and meet tight deadlines
- Good command of spoken and written English
