We are seeking a motivated and organised Grants Officer to join our team and play a vital role in securing funding for our impactful initiatives.

We are a progressive local government authority employing approximately 150 dedicated employees.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this role is responsible for all aspects of the grant lifecycle, from researching and identifying funding opportunities to managing applications, facilitate internal approval process, and reports. You will monitor and report on grant applications to Council and the Executive Team.
The ideal candidate will have Certificate III qualifications in Business Administration, Finance, Communication, or related discipline and demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining collaborative and cooperative relationships with key stakeholders, the ability to understand financial reports, and business plans.
To succeed in the role, you will have excellent verbal and written communication, advanced planning and time managements skills, and an understanding of local government procedures, functions, responsibilities and committees.

Annual salary of $79,088 to $90,165 (plus super). This will be pro rata to the applicable hours of the position.
As of 1 July 2024, an annual Award increase of 3.5% will also apply to the base annual salary.

Please note: Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. For a continuing position, you must be an Australian New Zealand citizen or an Australian Permanent Resident.
Australian Temporary Residents may be considered for a fixed term contract for the length of their visa, depending on the requirements of the hiring area and the position.
