- Management of all patient revenue raising for the BMDH Administrative stream, including but not limited to file preparation, recording of electronic patient management errors/reporting, data entry into online electronic billing software, reviewing and validating information sent to Medicare for billing claims and resubmitting of claims.
- The Billing/Revenue Clerk works closely with the Outpatient Project Manager to primarily fulfil the medical billing functions of the inpatient and outpatient Wards/ Departments. BMDH has a high volume of patients and this role plays a pivotal part in ensuring that revenue is raised appropriately, in a timely manner and within the guidelines set out by Medicare Benefits Schedule.

- Recent experience in using an electronic patient flow system.
- Experience in using an electronic patient management system.
- Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team whilst working independently without constant supervision.
- Demonstrated organisational skills of a high standard with the proven ability to handle high volumes of inquiries and paperwork in a busy workplace whilst maintaining a high level of customer service.
- Demonstrated understanding and insight into revenue raising issues and Medicare bulk billing including extensive experience with online medical electronic billing system(s).
