Accounts & Admin Officer

Keolis Downer operates passenger bus services in South Australia under the entities of SouthLink in the Adelaide Hills area and LinkSA in various regional areas within 100 KMs of Adelaide.
We are currently seeking an Accounts & Admin Officer (Accounts & Admin, based at our Mt Barker office), a part-time role but also full-time is available for the right candidate. Undertakes the technical elements of the role including AP, AR, Admin and banking while also contributes to project implementation, month end closing processes, as the backup of other team members.
Key Duties and Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
- Provide financial and administrative support to the finance team ensuring deadlines are adhered to.
- Provide customer services and register lost properties.
- Prepare bus pass and concession reimbursement
- Count, reconcile and bank the daily tickets sales.
- Manage the shared mailbox, responding promptly to client queries.
- Accurate and timely preparation of customer invoices
- Distribute invoices and statements to customers.
- Prepare and reconcile farebox and concession.
- Manage billing related issues and escalating as required.
- Allocate customer receipts and collect debts, follow up unpaid debtors.
- Reconcile monthly revenue, provide the revenue variation analysis.
- Monitor and manage services contracts, update the contract variations.
- Prepare and distribute indexation as per contract.
- Process supplier invoices and payment.
- Assist with cost modelling and project implementation.
- Assisting with month end reporting, annual budget and cash forecast
- Back up other team members while on leave
- Ad hoc accounting and administration duties as required.
The successful candidate should possess:
- Have the right to work in Australia
- A hands-on accounts role within a finance department
- Experience with AP, AR, customer service and new project implementation.
- Have good Excel skills with knowledge of GP or similar accounting system.
- Previous experience in the transportation industry is highly desirable.
- Attention to detail, timeliness and adaptability.
- A can-do attitude and willing to learn.
- The ability to work autonomously as well as within a team.
