Accounts Officer (AP & Admin)
Keolis Downer is Australia’s largest private provider of multi-modal public transport. We operate and integrate all types of mobility services for more than 250 million passenger journeys each year in Sydney’s Northern Beaches, Newcastle, Melbourne, the Gold Coast, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide and regional South Australia. Keolis Downer operates passenger bus services in South Australia under the entities of SouthLink in the Adelaide Hills area and LinkSA in various regional areas within 100 KMs of Adelaide.
We are currently seeking an Accounts Officer (AP & Admin), a part-time role but also full-time is available for the right candidate. Undertakes the technical elements of the role including AP, Admin, banking and AR, while also contributes to project implementation, month end closing processes and as the backup of other team members.
Key Duties and Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
- Provide financial and administrative support to the finance team ensuring deadlines are adhered to.
- Monitor AP shared email box.
- Process and pay supplier invoices,
- Prepare and reconcile monthly vendor statement.
- Count, bank and reconcile the daily sales.
- Provide customer services and register lost properties.
- Assisting with month end reporting, end of finance year processes
- Assist with project implementation and other payroll requirements.
- Back up other team members while on leave
- Ad hoc accounting and administration duties as required.
The successful candidate should possess:
- Have the right to work in Australia.
- A hands-on accounts role within a finance department
- Experience with AP, customer services
- Have good Excel skills with sound knowledge of GP, MicroPay or similar accounting system.
- Previous experience in the bus services or transportation industry is highly desirable.
- Attention to detail, timeliness and adaptability.
- A can-do attitude and willing to learn.
- The ability to work autonomously as well as within a team.
