The opportunity:
This is a great opportunity to join our Finance team as an Accounts Assistant reporting to our Financial Controller, working 2-3 days per week.
Our office is based in East Melbourne, with public transport on the doorstep.
The role includes:
• Fortnightly payroll for 100 employees – including confirming hours and leave, maintaining records and the clock in system, processing payroll and handling queries
• Preparation of superannuation and payroll tax lodgements
• Supporting the clinical trials unit bookkeeping needs – including data entry, tracking activity, invoicing, reimbursements
• Assisting the Financial Controller with other tasks as required, across various business units and entities.
What you need for this role:
• 2 years+ experience with payroll, experience in a similar role preferred
• high attention to detail and accuracy
• excellent written and oral communication skills
• high level of integrity and confidentiality
• analytical and problem-solving skills
• ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
• able to appropriately prioritise, complete tasks in a timely manner
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and accounting software, experience utilising MYOB preferred
• Must be available to work Wednesday and Thursday
• Qualifications: Certificate IV in Bookkeeping, Diploma of Accounting or undergraduate in a degree majoring in accounting (Bachelor of Business or Commerce).
