Job Description:
As an Assistant Accountant/ Bookkeeper at Aar Kay International Pty Ltd, you will play a crucial role in managing our financial transactions and providing essential support to the finance department. This position oHers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and make a significant impact on the success of our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including processing invoices, issuing payments, and reconciling accounts.
- Maintain accurate records of financial transactions, including journal entries and general ledger entries.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Prepare financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, on a regular basis.
- Assist with payroll processing and ensure compliance with payroll tax regulations.
- Communicate with vendors, clients, and internal stakeholders to resolve financial discrepancies and inquiries.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and other financial planning activities as needed.
Qualifications:
- Completed or pursuing degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience working as an Assistant Accountant/Bookkeeper or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in accounting software, such as MYOB Business, Xero, or similar programs.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record- keeping.
- EHective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Certification as a Certified Bookkeeper (CB) or similar credential preferred.
