About the role:
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be working with many areas of the team – sales, finance, client experience and operations as part of your day-to-day duties. The primary objective of this position will be to ensure that all financial transactions are processed and recorded.
Accounts Payable
- Entry of supplier invoices, matching purchase orders, including inventory, general expenses and inter-company billing
- Process creditor payments in multiple currencies
- Reconciliation of supplier accounts and review of queries
- Investigating discrepancies, returns and credit notes
- Clearance of accounts payable inbox daily, including responding to supplier emails
- Maintain files and archive documents thoroughly and accurately per company policy and accepted accounting practices.
Accounts Receivable
- Monthly customer invoicing for certain supplier services and reconciliation of same
Asset Registers
- Maintain Fixed Asset Register and monthly depreciation journal entries
- Maintain the Rental Asset Register and monthly depreciation journal entries
- Associated journal entries on return of Rental Equipment
- Month-end support, including general ledger reconciliations and posting of journals
Payroll & Administration (Secondary Function)
- Process fortnightly payroll, including annual and personal leave, staff expense claims
- Complete fortnightly reporting to ATO Single Touch Payroll
- Process monthly superannuation payments to staff-nominated superannuation funds
- Complete wage declarations and renew annual WorkCover Policies for QLD, NSW & VIC
- Order IT hardware and software licences to maintain adequate equipment for existing and new staff members
About you:
- Demonstrated and proven experience in accounting-related roles
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office programs with a strong focus on Excel skills
- High proficiency using accounting software packages, MYOB AccountRight advantageous
- Ability to confidently interact with staff at all levels and build strong business relationships
