A local marine maintenance service provider looking for an Accounting Assistant to join their admin team for an immediate start.
The successful applicant will report directly to the Company Accountant and possess the following skills and Experience:
KEY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Understanding of Financial Statements and Journal Entries
- Accounts Payable/Receivable
- Daily Bank account reconciliations
- Credit card and fuel card reconciliations
- Supplier and Contractor onboarding into accounts software
- Weekly creditor payment runs
- Generate and provide financial information for weekly and monthly management reports and cashflows
- Employee expense claims
- Assist with End Of Month accounting procedures including BAS reports
- Assist Purchasing Department with raising and closing purchase orders
- General administration duties including reception relief, filing, scanning
- Travel arrangements
- Assist with stocktake
- Assist with audits
- Process all data accurately and ensure quality of work is of a high standard at all times.
- Strong sense of urgency to complete all administrative duties on time.
- Experience with SAP software is desirable but not essential.
- Use of Microsoft Outlook & Word, strong Excel skills and knowledge of other Microsoft software an advantage
- Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic team environment, displaying flexibly to meet changing needs, priorities, and deadlines.
Position is full-time Monday – Friday
