The Newgate Group operates a large thoroughbred horse stud based at Aberdeen in the Hunter Valley, NSW. Due to the growth of the business, Newgate is seeking to fill a new role of Accounts Assistant. It is envisaged that this will be a full-time role, however, we will consider part time/variable hours for the right candidate. The role will include but not be limited to the following tasks:
- Daily bank data entry and reconciliations
- Processing of payments including supporting paperwork and remittance advices
- Preparation of reconciliations
- Supporting the Accounts Payable and Receivable functions
- Assisting with the end of month process
- Other administrative tasks as required
- Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant or similar role
- Experience with Ardex and Sage 300 (preferable but not essential)
- Strong Microsoft Office suite skills, especially Outlook, Excel, and Word
- High level of written and verbal communication and numeracy skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Highly organised, motivated, and able to work efficiently and accurately
