The opportunity:

Working in a dynamic and fast paced role, we are currently looking for an experienced Accounts Officer to join our team and hit the ground running. The role of Accounts Officer is to assist in the efficient and timely operation of the accounts department (Payable & Receivable) and ensure all suppliers are paid in a timely manner and all customers remain within credit trading terms and all invoices are paid in a timely manner.

Alfasi Hire is a leading equipment hire company specialising in the hire of elevated work platforms, forklifts, telehandlers, light towers and cranes. 

With branches across Australia, Alfasi Hire is on the move!  Whilst servicing a wide variety of projects and industries on a daily basis (ranging from construction, film, events, maintenance, infrastructure, telecommunications and many more), we can be seen on major projects around the country.

Duties:

Your key deliverables in this role with include:

  • Effective credit management in line with agreed procedures including debt collection, credit applications, credit limits and dispute resolution. 
  • Accurate customer invoicing and statements within required timeframes.
  • Timely processing of credit requests. 
  • Process all creditor invoices in line with agreed procedures including correct coding, matching delivery dockets, checking purchase orders and pricing, authorization and dispute resolution. 
  • Accurate creditor reconciliations, credit card and petty cash reconciliations and cheque requisitions as required. 
  • Ensure filing of account documents in a timely manner and work area is maintained in a clean and orderly fashion.
  • Be flexible with working hours to meet deadlines.
  • Maintain a strong team commitment within the division and company generally.

What you are / What you have:

  • High level of administration and computer literacy
  • Strong Accounting Knowledge
  • High level experience in a dynamic accounts payable function
  • A high attention to detail
  • A good work ethic and be self-motivated
  • The ability to work well under pressure and multi-task
  • Prior experience in a similar role in equipment hire is an advantage
