Job Description:
An Accounts Officer with our Finance department in Sydney is responsible for accurately processing day to day account receivable, account payable related tasks and other general accounting activities noted below:
Responsibilities include:
• AP related tasks including processing invoices, obtaining approval, managing payment as per payment terms and records management.
• Managing staff credit card reports for data entry.
• Managing and replying to emails in Finance inbox.
• Daily processing of EFT receipts
• Daily reconciliation and uploading receipts into AR ledger
• Supporting the finance team with month-end processes.
• Other duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications:
• Preference will be given to candidates with an Accounting Degree or Diploma
• Minimum 2-5 years working in Accounts payable preferably in a financial service company.
• Knowledge of accounting policies and procedures
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
• Adaptability and flexibility to adjust priorities as new tasks and projects arise
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information properly.
• Strong time management skills
• Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in the written form.
• Ability to work well in a team as well as independently.
• Technically proficient in MS Office; Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams
Salary Range - $60,000 to $65,000 plus super annually.
