Job description

North Sydney Council administers the North Sydney local government area on Sydney’s picturesque lower North Shore. Our 400 employees look after 77,000 residents spread across 10 square kilometres of land on the foreshores of Sydney Harbour providing spectacular harbour views, beautiful parklands, and a bustling CBD. The role

We currently have an opportunity to join our newly formed Communications and Engagement team as the Administrative Support Officer to provide efficient and timely Administrative Support services to the department, and in particular, coordinating the North Sydney Precinct System. This role involves supporting community communications, managing records, and assisting key projects.

We are seeking someone with highly developed administration skills with a strong customer service focus and experience supporting a busy team. The successful candidate will have a proactive approach to their work and will have a proven ability in building strong working relationships through effective communication and discretion in handling confidential information.

Key responsibilities: 

  • Administration support to the department
  • Production of the weekly Precinct eNews in Campaign Monitor
  • Website updates and document management relating to precincts
  • Document preparation, management and record keeping
  • Assist with the organisation of precinct events and meetings including attending these meetings

Salary Range:  $70,959 to $84,731 pa + 11.5% superannuation + $1,000 pa transport allowance

35 hours per week with access to flexi-time
