When home or building insurance claims are lodged, insurance companies have a panel of builders they use to carry out repairs. We have worked hard to become a trusted builder for a number of insurers, and the acquisition of new clients means we need an experienced Accounts Officer to join our team. Our team are ambitious and results driven, and also like to have fun and make work a great place to be. The successful candidate for this particular role needs to be meticulous, organised, and able to multi-task. They need to have a keen eye for detail and be able to work both collaboratively and autonomously, whilst approaching their role with positivity and drive. Qualifications & experience
- Experience in accounts receivable and/or payable.
- Excellent IT skills.
- Experience in and an affinity for creating an excellent customer experience and working collaboratively and effectively in a team.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Support for and collaboration with construction team, claim management team and management team to ensure jobs are completed on time, within budget and to the highest standard.
- Management of accounts and orders email file.
- Preparing all receivable invoices (current and aged) and submitting via client portal/process.
- Entering all payable invoices using our job management and/or accounting software programs and scheduling for payment.
- Reconciling all incoming and outgoing transactions.
- Application for construction/council permits when required.
- Use of a range of company and client portals and programs for completion of roles and responsibilities.
- Communicating with clients, customers, contractors in a positive and professional manner.
