OCS Building Maintenance t/as Midcity Group has provided expert building repairs on residential and commercial properties to the insurance industry for over 35 years in Western Australia. We expanded into NSW in 2019, and with ongoing growth into Victoria and Queensland, we are adding to our WA Team.
Midcity Group specialises in providing reporting and investigation services to assist our clients in determining the extent of their liability on an insurance claim. Our business operates within strict KPI measurements to meet client expectations and is supported by a sophisticated job management system.
The Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our Finance Team.
The main focus of this role is to support Finance Manager and be key point of contact for all departments on financial and accounting matters.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Accurate processing of AR & AP invoices & credit notes
- Reconciling daily, monthly and yearly transactions
- Management and follow up on outstanding Accounts Receivable including preparation and submission of Client Statements on weekly basis
- Monitor the accounts e-mail
- Managing customer account enquiries, discrepancies and disputes ensuring they are properly investigated and resolved
- Meeting month-end deadlines
Skills & Experience required:
- Positive attitude and a team player
- Attention to detail and accuracy is a must
- Problem solving
- An ability and willingness to quickly learn new software/systems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- High level of computer literacy including Microsoft Excel and Outlook
- Must be reliable and provide reference
The following skills/experience would be an advantage, but are not essential:
- Experience using job management software
- Previous experience in finance role and/or insurance industry
