Assett Group Services is a leader in the provision of asset maintenance services, specialising in the social housing sector. We are seeking an experienced Field Compliance Officer to join our energetic and vibrant team in our new premises located in Macquarie Park.
Reporting to our Head of Assurance, Risk & Compliance, your duties will include:
- Providing frontline support to contractors on site to ensure that effective controls are applied in respect to SWMS, ITP’s and Site HSEQ Plans
- Working closely with the Compliance Team to trends identified in the field
- Supporting the delivery of Toolbox Talks on HSEQ matters across all sites
- Guiding our Project Managers and contractors to ensure continued development of HSEQ capability and awareness on site
- Investigating any incidents and injuries
- Reviewing of contractor safety documentation
- Conducting regular site visits to monitor compliance matters
- Reviewing contractor performance within our IMS Frameworks
- Provide support and guidance to the compliance team in issue resolution
- Attend onsite meetings with clients and their representatives where required
- Coordinate client reporting and audit requirements
- Other relevant duties as required.
It is essential that you hold current qualifications for this role:
- NSW Driver’s Licence
- Work Cover WHS Induction Certificate (Construction)
- Investigation Experience (5 Whys, ICAM)
To be successful in this role you will require:
- Recognised tertiary qualifications in Environmental, Health & Safety related discipline or 5 years relevant field experience
- Proven experience in a similar role within the building industry (preferable residential, maintenance & repair)
- Exceptional time management and organisational skills
- High level engagement and influencing skills, able to build relationships
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, codes of practice and standards across all Australian states
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office programs
- Results oriented individual with a strong work and service ethic
- Problem solving skills with high level attention to detail
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Team player – collaborative in approach and working for the overall purpose of the team
- At least two years previous experience in leading onsite teams
