Oracle Advisory Group is seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join our head office team in Newcastle.
The Role – Part Time - You will be responsible for:
- Fortnightly and monthly payroll which includes entering timesheets, checking hours and processing through Xero
- Assisting with the onboarding and offboarding of staff
- Maintaining and managing employee data in Xero
- Ensuring all elements of payroll are accurate and completed on time
- Processing of end of month superannuation contributions to relevant funds
- Preparing and processing payroll tax on a monthly basis
- Providing support to the HR Department
- Submitting year-end salaries tax reporting
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders
- Managing the Payroll inbox & responding to queries
- Identify and implement efficiencies with the payroll processes wherever possible
Skills & Experience - You will display the following skills:
- Proficient in Xero
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Exceptional organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Have a high level of attention to detail
- Willingness to continuously learn and improve processes
This is a part-time in-office position, with the opportunity to increase hours in the future.
