Bernadini Pty Ltd are on a strong growth trajectory with significant investment currently in people, systems, and resources. We currently have a vacancy for an experienced Accounts Officer to join our Finance Team.
The Position:
Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, this is a full-time position at our Head Office in High Wycombe WA. We are seeking a positive minded individual with a minimum 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role who has a mature outlook, strong attention to detail, the ability to meet tight deadlines and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will have a good understanding of accounting principles with precise data entry skills and be highly organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise their workload.
Key Responsibilities:
Payroll
Weekly end to end Payroll for 50-60 employees across Australia.
Coordinate and process employee superannuation payments
Managing compliance with PAYG, superannuation contribution, WorkCover and worker compensation.
Reviewing legislation to identify relevant changes, researching into implications and making recommendations for change.
Payroll administration – e.g. maintaining employee registers and files, setting up new starters and processing terminations.
Responsibility for administration of worker compensation claims.
Liaising with staff, management and third party on payroll related queries
Accounts Receivable
Cash handling, balancing, and banking
Bank Account reconciliation
Set up of new customer accounts, including processing credit application
Process Receipts
Follow up of accounts and responding to all queries
Effectively maintain the debtors ledger including managing payment arrangements
Preparation of Statements
General accounts and administration duties
Maintain and reconcile clearing accounts
General Ledger reconciliation
Preparation of journals (Month End & Adjustments)
Backup to Accounts Payable Officer
Supporting the accounting team with ad-hoc tasks identified by management
Qualifications & Experience
Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping or equivalent
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role
MYOB AccountRight Payroll (Essential)
Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central / Navision (Preferred)
Competency in Microsoft Office suite of products (Outlook, Excel, Word etc)
Good understanding of accounting principles
Strong attention to detail, accurate typing, and data entry skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workload
The successful candidate will be required to provide a national police check from within the last 12 months
Full drivers C class licence and access to own vehicle.
