Accounts Officer

What’s involved:

The role of the Accounts Assistant is to provide support to the Finance Manager who is responsible for the system of internal control and cashflow. The Accounts Officer will support the Finance Manager by managing accounts receivable and payable in accordance with the system of internal control.

Responsibilities:

• Reconcile bank transactions on a weekly basis
• Reconcile credit card transactions on a weekly basis
• Monthly intercompany reconciliations
• Monitor Accounts inbox & respond to emails promptly within the day
• Enter invoices on a daily basis for approval
• Enter employee expenses as received
• Compile bi-monthly creditor payment run for approval.
• Reconcile creditor statements monthly
• Create assets as required
• Send debtors statements each month
• Follow up customers on terms twice a week as required
• Ownership of credit applications processed through CreditWorks
• Ownership of PPSR register
• Liaise with Credit Insurer / Broker on new credit limits as required under policy outline
• Trade Debtor insurance reporting and compliance.
• Preparation and delivery of weekly “Exception Report”
• Reconcile PPS reports to Debtors on monthly basis
• Raise invoices in the Trust as required (1 a week)
• Update cashflow forecast daily
• Adhoc tasks as required
