Accounts Officer

Full time opportunity has arisen for an experienced Accounts Officer to work with a respected Sport and Leisure Company, based in the SE suburbs.

The Role
This newly created Accounts all-rounder position is an integral part of the close knit finance team. The role is predominantly AP, but you will need to assist the Snr AR Officer with bank recs, corporate cards and some collections to name a few. Thus, experience in both AP/AR and having the ability to be adaptable and team orientated is paramount for success in this role.
Due to the company’s strong growth, there is scope for promotional opportunities down the track. Flexibility is also on offer with flexible start/finish times and after probation, opportunity to work from home 1 day per week. Your primary duties will comprise of:

• AP end to end
• Processing payments
• Vendor/data maintenance
• Supplier recs
• Journals
• Staff expenses
• Allocations
• Collections
• Bank recs
• Invoice processing (medium volume)
• FX invoice processing
• Matching/batching coding invoices to PO's
• Back up to AR Officer where required
• Other ad hoc tasks where required

About You
A team player and self-starter, you will be competent across AP/AR functions, have a great learning attitude and a flexible approach to work.
The successful candidate will obtain the following:

• Min 1-3 years’ experience in a similar Accounts Officer/Assistant Accountant position
• High attention to detail
• Ability to work quickly and accurately to deadlines
• Ability to work autonomously
