PSG are recruiting an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to join our client who is a leading international supplier. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who can foster a positive and collaborative work environment and has previous experience of leading and coaching a team.
The Role
- Supervising and lead the Accounts Payable team, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
- Supervising the processing of invoices.
- Reviewing and approving invoices for payment.
- Managing the payment process.
- Ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors.
- Building and maintaining positive relationships with vendors and address any issues or discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Establishing and enforcing internal controls to prevent errors and fraud in the Accounts Payable process.
- Overseeing the processing of employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies and reimbursement guidelines.
- Reconciling vendor statements with Accounts Payable records to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Investigating and resolving any discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations governing Accounts Payable activities, including tax regulations.
- Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to increase efficiency and effectiveness in the Accounts Payable function.
- Generating and analysing reports related to Accounts Payable activities.
- Presenting financial data and performance metrics to senior management.
- Leveraging accounting software and other technological tools to streamline Accounts Payable processes.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience in Accounts Payable management.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Resilience and maturity with the ability to work within a collaborative team.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced ever changing environment.
- Happy to work a office based role.
