Our client are a leading engineering services business supporting the mining, oil & gas and engineering industries with exceptionally skilled and qualified engineers providing ongoing business support.
The role:-
A permanent, management level position overseeing the Accounts Payable team of 4-5 staff. Salary up to $110,000 + Super on a permanent basis and located south of Perth in the increasingly busy industrial area of Canning Vale.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable experience of at least 8 years.
- Analytical ability and attention to detail with a focus on accuracy, reliability and timeliness.
- A self-starter with experience in leading and managing a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite with skills in Excel
- The ability to manage a team of 4 to 5 with prior experience in managing a small team and a large listing of creditors
- Be able to work with internal and external stakeholders to build relationships and hold tough conversations.
- Being able to work with the team, delegate tasks, recognise team members abilities and reward accordingly.
- Motivation - Be someone who brings a positive energy to the team and business.
- Managing a team of 4-5 Accounts Payable who process 2,500 + invoice and 3,000 + purchase orders a month.
- Reporting to the Financial Controller, the role provides oversight and responsibility to the day-to-day financial transactional activities of the Accounts Payable and receivable functions.
- Overseeing the AP, AR process including submitting claims, invoices, billings and lodgment of documentation on client files.
- Management, assistance, guidance, development and coaching the teams of accounts receivable and Accounts Payable.
- Credit application and creation of new customer and supplier in accordance with operating standards including credit checks, assessing reports on suitability.
