Join an award winning ASX-listed tourism and transport companyRange of Employee Benefits including staff discounts and career developmentBased in Cleveland, QLDAbout the RoleWorking as part of a small, dynamic team and reporting to the Finance Manager, the Accounts Payable Officer is integral to supporting the day to day payments function.Key Responsibilities

  • Efficiently manage a wide range of job duties and responsibilities. These may include but are not limited to:
  • Maintenance of the Accounts Payable database
  • Processing and payment of vendor invoices accurately and within identified timeframes
  • The recording and payment of purchases and expense transactions
  • Monthly reconciliation of supplier statements and investigation and resolution of discrepancies
  • Responding to email and phone enquiries in a timely manner
  • Credit card reconciliations
  • Bank reconciliations (including Petty Cash)
  • Complete and submit credit applications
  • Support all internal and external audits related to Accounts Payable
  • Assist with EOM GL journal export and GL reconciliations and Reports
  • Collect and distribute mail
  • Filing (paper and electronic)
  • Back up for other Team Members
About YouWe are looking for someone with proven experience in the smooth running of accounting operations with great accuracy in accounts, billing and reporting. Your prior knowledge and proficiency with financial accounting systems, word and excel will be highly regarded.You will possess
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in an Accounts Payable role in a multi-company group
  • Strong organisational and administration skills with a high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Commitment to delivering against team and Company deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a team member and to work independently
  • Commercially astute with high level of computer literacy with advanced skills in Excel and financial software
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, prioritise and multi task
  • Experience with the Accpac system would be advantageous
