The Role:
PBA Services is seeking a Payroll Coordinator who can hit the ground running to join their finance team based in Hamilton, QLD.
What you will do:
- Accurate and timely processing of high volume end-to-end weekly payroll;
- Ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and in accordance with legislation;
- employment contracts, agreements, awards and internal policies and procedures;
- Provide high level communication and customer service;
- Resolve payroll related issues and provide assistance to staff/managers/HR;
- Contribute to adhoc tasks, including payroll system maintenance and year end.
What we are looking for:
- Previous experience working in similar roles within a high volume payroll environment;
- Demonstrated experience coordinating an end-to-end payroll process including reporting, reconciling and quality control;
- Excellent technical skills with payroll software and time and attendance systems;
- Ability to prepare and process complex calculations, including long service leave entitlements, backpays, overpayment recoveries and termination payments and
the ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines; - Ability to interpret Awards and administer multiple pay affecting employment conditions;
- Knowledge of relevant Human Resources and Industrial Relations legislation, policy and procedures;
- Strong customer service focus with meticulous attention to detail;
- Team player;
- Can take on responsibility, accountability, work independently and multitask.
