We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Officer to join the team. In this full-time role on a 12 month contract. You will play a key part in processing expenses and disbursements into the firm's financial system with precision while ensuring compliance with ATO regulations. Based in our Sydney CBD office, you'll enjoy a hybrid work model, combining office collaboration with the flexibility of working from home part of the week.
Day-to-day you will be responsible for:
- Ensuring accurate data entry of invoices in a timely manner.
- Processing daily and weekly payment runs to domestic and international suppliers.
- Processing invoices according to established procedures to ensure compliance with internal policies and external requirements.
- Taking initiative in investigating and resolving queries from internal and external stakeholders.
- Sharing knowledge with team members through effective communication to ensure accurate and consistent processing according to internal procedures.
To be successful in this position you will have:
- Basic to Intermediate level skills with Excel; You've used sorting and filtering functionality, and have basic knowledge to perform VLOOKUPs and Pivot tables.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; You have the ability to explain Accounts Payable concepts to colleagues outside of the Business Finance team.
- 2+ years' experience processing invoices, demonstrating quick and accurate data entry.
- Ability to organise and prioritise workload; You adjust for problems and roadblocks
- Experience providing excellent customer service; You consider the entire process and not just the immediate question when providing assistance.
- Strong problem solving ability, and the ability to investigate situations thoroughly
- Experience using Aderant Expert strongly preferred

The team ensures an adequate financial control framework is maintained to safeguard the integrity of the firm's finances and plays a key role in mitigating financial and business risks. The team provides robust financial information internally and externally to enable decision making, effective operations and to help the firm meet its clients' needs and statutory requirements.
As a member of the Business Finance team, whether you are in core finance, taxation, treasury or projects, you'll play a critical role in the firm's success.
