Form of work Your new company Our Queanbeyan-based client is an Australian family built and operated business that operates in a specialist market for building supplies. Your new role This position is a varied role, you duties will range across both warehousing and deliveries to enable optimum efficiency across the distribution team by working together and understanding your co-workers roles and how certain processes impact each other's duties. You will report direct to the Distribution Team Leader and be required to:
Work in the warehouse both receiving goods and picking and packing for dispatch, this will require manual handling of goods in a range of sizes.
Stock management, including updating inventory systems and participating in stock takes
Forklift and Vehicle Mounted Crane operation for loading and unloading trucks
Driving Medium Rigid trucks from the warehouse and delivering orders to the Canberra region
Providing great customer service and documenting deliveries on the ipad as complete
What you'll need to succeed This business is looking for the right person to fit with their team for the long term. The right attitude is one of the biggest factors to your success in your application. Regarding tickets and experience you will need; A Medium Rigid Truck License and recent truck driving experience - ideally in the Canberra region
A forklift license is highly desirable or at least the ability to obtain
A VLC ticket and/or experience operating a Vehicle Mounted Crane is highly desirable
The ability to obtain your White Card, Asbestos Awareness and Silica Awareness is you don't already have them
What you'll get in return If successful, you will be paid an annual salary of $70,000 + superannuation. Other benefits include; This client is also willing to partner with you to help obtain the required tickets and licenses mentioned above, aside from the truck license.
You will work Monday to Friday from 6:45am to 4:30pm with 2 paid breaks each day.
