Accounts Payable Officer

The University Club is located on the banks of the Swan River on the heritage-listed grounds of The University of Western Australia. The Club has over 4500 members, multiple function rooms, a fine dining restaurant and casual dining café. The University Club also manages University Theatres which has seven theatre spaces across the UWA campus. 

The Club is seeking an experienced part-time Accounts Payable professional to join its busy Finance team. Offering 25 hours per week with flexible working hours, this role would suit an experienced and enthusiastic candidate.

Primary functions and duties include:

• Processing purchase invoices,
• Management of the purchase order system,
• Payments to Suppliers,
• AP Reporting,
• Month End Accruals & Journals,
• Stock-take and, 
• Project work including the management and ongoing development of the Lightyear AP System, an innovative, newly introduced system. (Lightyear provides automated data extraction from bills, receipts and credit notes, a customisable approvals workflow and online document storage).

The successful applicant must possess:

• Demonstrated experience in an Accounts Payable role,
• Ability to build relationships across the business,
• Experience in liaising with other staff, customers and suppliers in a professional manner, 
• Excellent organisational skills and time management,
• Excellent attention to detail and demonstrates initiative in all areas of work,
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills,
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft programs.
