AddressAccounts Payable / Receivable Officer - Temporary contract until March 2025!

A Federal Government department is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable / Receivable Officer to join their team!
Your new role
- You will monitor and manage group inboxes and forward all queries to relevant personnel
- Perform financial administration tasks in the department. Including; money handling, receipting, payment of invoices and associated processing.
- Perform reconciliation of data and contribute to financial reporting.
- Provide high level system accounting, using systems including SAP, Finance Model and other relevant systems.
- Provide support and training to other staff members
- Conduct file management
- Identify opportunities for business process improvement
- Conducts data-entry and retrieval tasks
- 3+ years experience in AR and AP
- Strong interpersonal communication skills with internal and external stakeholders
- Tertiary qualifications in accounting, finance or related discipline with advanced knowledge of the relevant practices and procedures
- Advanced SAP experience & Excel Spreadsheet Skills
- Previous experience within a government organisation is highly regarded
