Accounts Payable Representative

Vanguard Logistics are currently seeking an industry experienced Accounts Payable Representative to join our Sydney team.  The successful candidate will have prior experience in freight forwarding Accounts, preferably from an AP background however AR candidates that are looking for a change to AP will also be considered.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As the Accounts Payable Representative, you will be primarily responsible for managing the reconciliation of vendor account statements, ensuring system approval of costs missed by operations, preparing payments to vendors, and subsequent reporting to management with essential duties & responsibilities as follows:

• Allocate & distribute unprocessed vendor invoices to relevant branch for processing
• Account & statement reconciliations against AP ledger
• Work closely with vendors & internal departments to facilitate corrections & disputes
• Preparing batch & online banking payments 
• Reporting & management of AP ledger

WHATS REQUIRED

• Demonstrated experience in Accounts Payable, preferably in the freight forwarding industry
• Minimum intermediate experience with excel - essential
• Superior attention to detail 
• Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment
• Well organised with the ability to multitask
• Critical thinking & problem solving skills
• Ability to be discrete & maintain a high level of confidentiality
