Accounts Payable Team Leader

How we contribute to the bigger picture:

Our Accounts Payable Team Leader plays a vital role in providing effective and accurate financial support by managing the end-to-end payable’s function; including process, payment runs, reporting and reconciliation. This position ensures the operating rhythm in support of the Finance team and is a key internal advisor cross-functionally.

How you will spend your day:

• Management of Accounts Payable function, ensuring purchase order receipting, invoices, approvals and payments are processed accurately and in timely manner
• Providing guidance and supervision to the Accounts Payable team that enables them to provide timely responses to queries (both internal and external)
• Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies
• Management of expense management system including company credit cards and reimbursements
• Reviewing vendor statements reconciliations
• Deal with vendor queries, disputes and escalate to relevant team member where required
• Ensure all international and import invoices are processed accurately and on time
• Provide oversight and assist with payments (local and international)
• Ensure compliance with all internal controls
• Proactively identify and contribute to the continuous improvement of the Accounts Payable function

What we’ll value in you:

• Experience in leading an Accounts Payable team and function or an experienced Accounts Payable Officer looking to step up
• Purchase Order experience
• Always on the lookout for better ways of doing things- an eye for process and system improvement is highly desired!
• Exceptional time management and organisation skills
• You are a strong communicator and enjoy collaborating with others
• Experience working in a high-volume environment
• Experience developing KPI reporting and payment forecasting
• You are a highly motivated, positive and passionate individual
