Job description

We are actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Accounts Receivable Clerk to become a valuable addition to our dynamic team. In this position, you will play a pivotal role in managing our Accounts Receivable while providing essential administrative support to both our managers and clients.

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently enter, prepare, and process all client invoices.
  • Ensure the completeness of all necessary documentation before invoicing.
  • Accurately applying client payments against their invoices.
  • Proactively chase overdue accounts and promptly report any potential issues to management.
  • Investigating and resolving any irregularities or enquiries. 
  • Accurately perform data entry into the company's registers and finance system.
  • Monthly reconciliation of debtors' accounts.
  • Producing monthly financial and management reports. 
  • Maintain the accuracy of debtors' contact information.
  • Generation of purchase orders for field staff.
  • Assist Supervisors with client issues, invoice queries, and administrative tasks.

 Qualifications and Skills:

The ideal candidate for this role will possess the following qualifications, skills, and attributes:

  • A proven track record in an account’s environment, demonstrating solid expertise.
  • 3-5 years of prior experience in a similar position, showcasing comprehensive accounts knowledge.
  • Exceptional organisational, time management, and planning abilities.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, allowing for effective issue resolution.
  • Proficiency in quick and accurate data entry, with a sharp eye for detail.
  • The capability to thrive under pressure and consistently meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, with a preference for experience with ERP systems like Great Plains, SAP, or Pronto.
  • Experience in scheduling would be advantageous.
