About the Role:
The Accounts Payable-Receivable/Finance role performs day-to-day financial and administrative activities within the Head Office department.
The purpose of the Accounts role:
- Ensure accurate and efficient entry and payment of invoices and allocation of job costs
- Accurate and efficient entry, processing and reconciling of receivables
- Assist in the coordination and execution of financial and administration services across the Trueline Group
You will be reporting directly to the Financial Controller.
Some of the duties & responsibilities of the position:
- Perform day-to-day bookkeeping activities, including maintaining accurate records of financial transactions.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and collections.
- Reconcile bank feeds and other financial documents to ensure accuracy.
- Receive, sort, enter and file daily invoices including reconciliation of statements
- Assist and relieve the Financial Controller for annual leave
- Clear and distribute the accounts email inbox daily
- Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure smooth financial operations.

Desired Skills and Experience
Skills and experience essential to the role;
- Good knowledge of general accounting practices & procedures
- Experience: 3-5 years accounts payable/receivable and general accounting
- Computer and IT literate including Microsoft Office programs such as Outlook, Word and Excel
- Proficient and accurate data entry in within specified finance deadlines
- Desired Experience in MYOB Advanced Accounting software
Ideally you can also demonstrate skills, expertise and attitude to a high level in the following areas
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and practices.
- Proficiency in MYOB Advanced accounting software is preferred.
- Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, project/job costing.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Confidentiality and sound judgement
- Following tasks through to completion
- Team player with high standards and an excellent attitude towards others in the workplace
- Multitasking when working to tight deadlines
- Background in manufacturing or construction is desirable but not essential
