Finance Officer – Accounts Receivable

We are currently seeking a Finance Officerto join our Finance Team based at Woolloongabba, on a full-time basis.
About the role:
The primary responsibility of this position is to coordinate the accounts receivable function within the Finance team. This role is very valuable and crucial to enable the production of highly accurate and timely monthly and annual financial reports, to assist management with decision-making to ensure the sustainability of Spinal Life Australia (SLA).
We are looking for someone to:
- Perform regular accounts receivable (AR) functions including, importing invoices into TechOne Financials, reviewing for accuracy and issuing on a timely basis, raising and issuing manual invoices and manual adjustment notes on receiving request forms from other departments and receipting incoming funds through banking procedures
- Follow up SLA overdue accounts to ensure debtors are paying within agreed terms
- Prior to AR roll over at month end, ensure the AR ledger and the general ledger reconcile and advise the Accountant and Finance Controller
- Regularly review procedures for the accurate and timely processing of the AR function
- Ensure GST is correctly applied to relevant transactions to facilitate the correct generation of the BAS (Business Activity Statement)
- Produce and send out debtor statements on a fortnightly/monthly basis
- Examine accounts and determine the best course of action for the customer and the business
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role
- Previous debt collection experience
- High level of keyboarding speed and accuracy
- High level of attention to detail
- Working knowledge of GST legislation and its impact on the AR function
- Previous experience using Technology One Financials and Carelink would be looked on favourably
