Accounts Receivable Officer (3 Month Contract)

Our client is a well-known global manufacturing business within the Oil & Gas industry based in Melbourne's South Eastern Suburbs, they are seeking a experienced Accounts Receivable Officer to join their high performing Finance team on an initial 3 month contract with strong view to be extended and also made permanent.
Key responsibilities:

• Apply customer payments against debtor accounts in the general ledger, ensuing cash is correctly applied
• Strong ability to deal with difficult customers and build relationships at all levels.
• Following up remittance advices for allocation of payments
• Resolving any AR related discrepancies.
• Preparing weekly cheque list for banking.
• Set up payments in the banking platform once reviewed and approved for payment
• Compile customer refunds for approval and payment
