Accounts Receivable Officer

Introduction:

SCTEG is seeking an Accounts Receivable Officer to join our Head Office team in Ballarat. 

This is a full-time permanent position situated within a great working environment.

The Responsibilities 

The duties of the role will consist of the following; however, will not be limited to:

• Daily receipting of customer payments received via bank statements.
• Phoning and chasing Debtors accounts in a timely manner.
• Analyzing and processing new customer accounts.
• Processing and reconciling Capricorn (Caplink).
• EOM & EOFY process and rollover where required.
• Refund to customers where appropriately approved.
• Reconciling accounts where required.
• Equifax lodgment of default where required.
• Closely managing delinquent customers effectively.
• Reviewing customer account limits where required.
• Releasing of accounts for supply where appropriate.
• Reconciling Maxi bank account.
• Processing and reconciling internet sales/PayPal accounts.
• Providing copy invoices to customers where requested.
• Balancing Cash Receipts Journals and Suspense accounts
• Bad Debt Write Offs. 
• Archiving.
• Any additional tasks as directed by management.

The Ideal Candidate 
The successful candidate will possess the following attributes; however, will not be exclusive to:

• Previous experience in a similar role desirable but not essential.
• High-level interpersonal and communication skills 
• Strong ability to liaise with both internal and external stakeholders. 
• Exceptional customer service skills 
• Strong understanding of transactional banking duties
• Highly developed organizational skills
• Solution and outcomes focused.
• Commitment and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• High attention to detail 
• Microsoft Office and Excel
• An ability and willingness to learn new processes and systems quickly.
