The role:
The Accounts Receivable officer will be part of a dedicated finance team and will support the Group Finance Manager with all functions associated with the end to end Accounts Receivable function, including:
- Reporting on RAD’s, debts,
- Debt collection and preparation of VCAT documentation,
- Processing Government Funding (Payment Statement) Reconciliation
- Processing Monthly Billing in an accurate and timely manner
- Communications with Medicare, Centrelink, State Trustees etc
- Admissions, discharges and probate processing
- Receipting of fees and bonds
- General Administration as directed by AR Manager
To be successful in this role, candidates will require:
- Graduate degree in Accounting or Finance or working towards a relevant degree
- Previous high volume Accounts Receivable and debt collections experience within Aged Care sector is essential
- Understanding of Aged Care Industry regulated Accommodation Contracts including RAD/RACs, DAP/DACs etc is desirable.
- Strong leadership and organisational skills.
- High level communication skills and ability to confidently manage residents, families and colleagues with empathy and understanding.
- Ability to build strong working relationships with all internal departments and external stakeholders.
