About the role
Viterra is seeking an Accounts Receivable Officer to join our team on a permanent part-time basis. Reporting to the Transactional Services Manager, the primary responsibility of the role is to ensure timely and accurate processing of payments and the timely collection of debtors. The role also provides customer service to both internal and external customers.
Duties
- Complete month end requirements and reports within finance timelines, providing management with professional notations
- Maintain compliance with billing system user standards
- Review customer accounts and recommend adjustments to credit limits
- Reconcile and close of the debtor ledger within month end timelines
- Ensure daily completion of banking as per the Credit Policy;
- Generate and distribute weekly and daily reports to relevant parties
- Prepare management reports and update procedures
- Advise business units on actions for delinquent debtors and agree a course of action
- Promptly contact delinquent customers for payment or negotiate payment plans
- Assist with financial system updates
About you
- Qualifications and/or demonstrated skills and experience in an Accounts Receivable / Credit Role
- Strong attention to detail
- Previous experience with SAP preferred
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills
- Contribute in a team environment through developing positive working relationships
- Ability to prioritise tasks, use knowledge and initiative to problem solve promptly
