WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are seeking an experienced and well-rounded Accounts Receivable Officer who has an approach that optimises partnering, communication and team and who is looking to work 3 days or 4 days a week depending on the candidate.
THE JOB
Reporting into the Finance and Administration Manager this role manages the Accounts Receivable function within the Wholesale business of the Salco Group, and the Retail & E-Commerce arm of Tommy Bahama Australia.
Manage Trade Debtors – The Salco Group
- Daily import of bank statements into AP21.
- Daily bank reconciliation.
- Allocating payments as per customer’s remittance
- Applying Settlement Discounts where applicable.
- Resolving customer queries.
- Process credits approved by Sales Manager/s
- Maintain Markdown and Rebate trackers.
- Prepare Aged Trial Balance – providing commentary to management
- Discussing / Maintaining payment plans
- Run statements monthly.
- Take payments for COD customers.
Retail & E-Commerce reconciliation – Tommy Bahama Australia
- Daily Bank reconciliation for retail stores
- Reconcile Afterpay, PayPal and Shopify to calculate daily fees / GST to journal to GL.
- Track cash deposits.
- Reconcile Afterpay to calculate daily fees / GST to journal to GL.
- Reconcile Undeposited Funds account in Balance Sheet
- Follow up any variances with store and E-Commerce managers actioning journal adjustments as required.
- Credit note / gift voucher write offs as required.
- Submission of Turnover certificates to landlords.
- Ad hoc analysis and support as required.
WHAT SKILLS AND COMPREHENSION DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?
- 5+ years AR experience
- Experience with: ERP software ideally AP21 will be highly regarded
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Comfortable working with various internal and external stakeholders, with the ability to build relationships and influence as necessary
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated time management and organisational skills
- Comfortable with technology – intermediate MS Suite skills are a must, with a strong understanding of MS Excel
