Position Summary:Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Accounts Receivable Team Lead to join their finance team at the head office based in North West Sydney. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing the Accounts Receivable function, ensuring accurate and timely processing of transactions, and leading a team of dedicated professionals. This position requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and a proven track record in Accounts Receivable management.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership:
Lead and manage the Accounts Receivable Team, providing guidance, support, and training as needed.
Foster a positive and collaborative team environment, promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Process Management:
Oversee the end-to-end Accounts Receivable process, including invoicing, cash application, and collections.
Develop and implement efficient and effective procedures to streamline the Accounts Receivable function.
Customer Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, resolving any billing or payment issues promptly.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to address customer inquiries and ensure customer satisfaction.
Reporting and Analysis:
Generate regular reports on Accounts Receivable performance, aging analysis, and key metrics.
Conduct trend analysis to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
Credit Management:
Assess and establish credit limits for customers, in collaboration with the finance and sales teams.
Monitor credit terms and take proactive measures to minimize credit risk.
Compliance:
Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and relevant regulations.
Stay informed about changes in accounting standards and implement necessary adjustments.
Collaboration:
Work closely with other departments, including finance, sales, and operations, to facilitate cross-functional collaboration and address business needs.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Proven experience in Accounts Receivable management, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
