Purpose of Job: The Accounts Receivable Officer role involves maintaining daily reports and accurately allocating payments from the daily bank statement. Your role will involve reconciliations, reporting daily balance reconciliations, and maintaining an Accounts Receivable Aged Trial Balance. You will handle a high volume of telephone calls regarding overdue accounts, with a strong focus on collections.
Primary Duties and Accountabilities:
- Maintaining daily reports recording incoming payments
- Accurate allocation of daily bank statement
- Performing complex reconciliations
- Reporting of daily balance reconciliation
- Maintaining an Accounts Receivable Aged Trial Balance
- Managing a high volume of telephone calls regarding overdue accounts
- Focusing strongly on collections
- Investigating and resolving customer queries and disputes
- Data entry
- Collection's reporting
- Any other duties as directed by the National Credit Manager
Attributes and Experience: The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' experience within a similar role and possess:
- High level of attention to detail
- Strong reconciliation skills
- Ability to meet KPIs and collection targets
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent time management skills and a strong work ethic
- Ability to work unsupervised, multitask, meet deadlines, and prioritize workload
Relationship and Authority:
- Reports to the National Credit Manager
- Maintains a strong working relationship with all internal stakeholders
Other Responsibilities:
- Compliance with all Company Policies and Procedures to ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all employees.
- Alerting the organization to potential or known problems that affect the quality of products and services, supporting a proactive, prevention-based approach to quality outcomes.
- Providing input and offering recommendations for the improvement of company processes and standard procedures.
