We are currently seeking a Activities & Lifestyle Coordinator to join our team.
Applicant will be required to be available to work shifts between Monday to Friday at either full time or part time capacity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assists residents to maintain the optimum level of health and wellbeing following direction and guidance from the: Residential Care Manager, Registered Nurses & Physiotherapist.
- Implement group and individual Activities & Lifestyle programs under the direction of the Quality and Lifestyle Manager and Residential care Manager. Reports on & documents residents’ response to therapy.
- Encourage and enable residents to participate in a variety of social experiences.
- Respect the rights of each resident to make informed choices about their participation in activities.
- Ensure that the privacy, respect and dignity of all residents is upheld.
- Assist in ensuring that the environment is safe for staff and residents and is as home-like for residents as possible.
- Is able to contribute to the development of individual care plans in consultation with the residents, relatives and other support staff.
- Identify and report potential or actual hazards to the Residential Care Manager.
Essential Requirements:
- Qualification in Certificate IV in Leisure and Health or equivalent will be highly regarded.
- Previous experience in Physio Therapy Assistance highly desirable, although not essential.
- Enthusiastic, dynamic, proactive and takes initiative.
- Organise meaningful and person-centred activities for varying level of abilities.
- Must be able to communicate with external stakeholders to organise events
- Must be computer literate.
- Experience working in a similar role in an Aged Care Facility will be highly regarded.
- Demonstrates genuine desire to care for frail aged people.
- Able to effectively communicate in written and oral English.
- Current Flu and Covid vaccination record.
- Current NDIS Clearance.
