Sounds like it is too good to be true – well it's not! We have a vacancy for a permanent part-time Leisure and Lifestyle Coordinator to join our team at Corinda. It is important to us that we continue to make a positive difference to the lives of our much-loved resident's. This role is key to keeping our resident's socially active, connected, stimulated, engaged and happy. What is a world where there is no fun! About You
- Certificate IV Leisure and Lifestyle or equivalent
- Specialist communication skills in order to build strong relationships with residents with varying needs/abilities
- Demonstrated understanding of specialist needs, particularly dementia.
- Competency with computer skills, especially Microsoft Word
- Demonstrated experience in the planning, implementation, facilitation and ongoing review of innovative and flexible recreational programs, preferably in the aged care industry
- High level of verbal and written communication skills to enable the completion of quality documentation and reports
- Demonstrated knowledge of workplace health and safety regulations and continuous quality improvement practices
- Ability to work within the Philosophies, Policies and Procedures of Wesley Mission Queensland and the Uniting Church in Australia.
- Current Driver’s Licence and willingness to drive in the course of work
- Relevant probity checks required by legislation and WMQ policy
- Proof of Vaccination Status as required by Legislation, Health Directives or WMQ Policy throughout employment and prior to commencement
