Our General Insurance client is seeking an experienced actuarial professional to join their group actuarial team, working in a non traditional, project based and strategic role. This role will be based in Sydney.
About the role
- Involved in a variety of projects that can include but not limited to areas of group performance, capital, reinsurance, planning and stress analysis.
- Involved in making global financial impact assessments on a global level and supporting the design and implementation of process and analytics frameworks.
- Supporting with group reporting deliverables
- Collaborating with different teams globally to provide better insights into business performance and trends
- Minimum 6 – 7 years' experience in actuarial roles in General Insurance.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities and an ability to work independently and systematically through complex matters
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills in order to interact across a variety of teams, and the ability to provide clear, pragmatic answers to complex questions
- A strong commercial mindset with a strong understanding of insurance company’s financial performance drivers
