We’re looking for a Shift Manager to join our brand-new Automated Distribution Centre!
This is an incredible opportunity to be involved in the commissioning of our second automated distribution centre which will use world-class technology to modernise our Supply Chain. Epic in scale and design, our new facility represents the future of logistics.
Located in Kemps Creek New South Wales, our new facility will deliver outstanding service level fulfilment to our stores. Critical to the site’s success, are our people who’ll enable seamless operational delivery.
As Shift Manager, your passion to lead teams and build a culture of innovation and operational excellence will be highly valued and your ability to energise and empower others will be essential. Importantly, you will lead by example, always keeping Safety and Compliance front of mind in your leadership.
Primary duties include:
Manage day to day operations in the facility, providing operational leadership, direction and support to achieve optimal performance
Ensure continual review, improvement and maintenance of operational activities to drive efficiency, service, safety, engagement and value within DC operations.
Enable the continuous flow of stock, taking immediate corrective action as required, trouble shooting and undertaking root cause analysis as required.
Ensure work carried out adheres to Coles Quality, Compliance, Safety, Reliability and Cost requirements.
Drive engagement across the team, facilitating the sharing of ideas in a way that supports achievement of KPIs and continuous improvement.
Manage internal and external stakeholder relationships.
Sponsor and lead change initiatives within the DC, including partnering with support functions throughout Supply Chain and other business units.
About you and your skills
We are seeking a goal orientated leader with demonstrated commercial business acumen and delivery in operational excellence across Supply/Manufacturing. You are someone that energises and enables the team to deliver with pride through your leadership. You'll be invested in creating a great team and workplace culture that fosters growth and development for you and your team.
You will also:
Possess strong knowledge of lean, six sigma processing principles.
Be an experienced leader with proven high level people management skills for large teams of 100+.
Boast extensive experience with performance metrics, process improvement and people leadership.
Possess strong operational experience in Manufacturing, Warehousing, Automation and/or Retail.
Be available to support PM operations from 3pm.
