About the Role
Latrobe City Council provide preschool programs at 24 services across our municipality. We are seeking enthusiastic educators, with a Certificate III Children's Services or Certificate III in Education (Teachers Aide/Assistant) to join our passionate preschool teams.
As a preschool Additional Assistant, you will provide a safe, nurturing, stimulating and educational environment for children, helping them to learn and grow to their potential.
About You
We are seeking an individual with proven experience in supporting individual needs, abilities and interest of all children in the program and demonstrated understanding of working with children with additional needs. You'll have an understanding of legislative and regulatory requirements including the National Quality Framework (National Quality Standards) and the Early Years Learning and Development Framework (5 learning outcomes).
We are seeking enthusiastic educators, with a Certificate III Children's Services or Certificate III in Education (Teachers Aide/Assistant).
For this role we are seeking applicants who have:
- Certificate 3 in Children Services or Cert 3 in Education (Teacher's Aide/Assistant).
- Current First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications.
- Ability to communicate verbally or in writing any observations that may affect the children's activities and the running of the program.
- Ability to work as a member of a co-operative team and to assist in developing good relationships and effective communication between families and Centre staff.
All successful applicants are required to apply for and satisfactorily obtain a National Police Check and hold a valid employee Working with Children Check.
