Trusted by thousands of families, we work together to spark curious, creative and confident children through our 40+ high quality Early Childhood Education and Care kindergartens, preschools and childcare centres across Melbourne.
In a redesigned People & Culture Team, you will be responsible for the provision of highly effective Learning & Development facilitation, coordination and process upgrades with a focus on front line people and operation management.
In this role you will also:
- Lead an update of the induction process
- Design & facilitate front line leadership training modules
- Lead the annual performance review cycle, tracking and reporting on training needs
- Lead and promote the use of the ECA Learning Hub
- Lead other upgrades to processes and capacity including Early Childhood Traineeships, Succession Planning, Professional Development tracking
- Be part of the People & Culture Team and be responsible for continuing to develop a positive organisational culture, aligned to our values and which fosters accountability, innovation and continuous improvement
- Work closely with the People & Culture Team and other leaders on organisation-wide initiatives
What you will need to succeed
To be successful with Sparkways you will be a passionate team player who enjoys stakeholder engagement and confident handling of training & Development matters. We’re looking for individuals with:
- Experienced in training needs analysis and planning, including analysis of Performance Development and Probation reviews
- Proficient in designing and facilitating training modules for Leadership and Mentoring to our Area Managers, Directors, Assistant Directors, and Managers in our support teams
- Experienced in sourcing and coordinating low-cost training opportunities that meet the needs of the organisation, particularly staff with English as a second language
- Experience in setting up administration systems that effectively track training activities and can be used to meet reporting requirements
- Experience in event management
- Leadership experience in the Early Childhood Education & Care sector would be highly regarded
- Cert IV in training and assessment, and / or higher level relevant qualifications
- Ability to establish productive working relationships at all levels of an organisation and with key external stakeholders
- Strong communication skills with a proven ability to positively influence through effective mediation, facilitation and negotiation
- An approach to work that is flexible and able to embrace and respond effectively to change
