Port Phillip Psychology is a warm and friendly counselling practice in Melbourne’s Bayside suburbs of Chelsea, Brighton and St Kilda established over 15 years ago. We have a team of 10 psychologists and mental health social workers. We love what we do and have extensive experience in helping adults, couples and children overcome their problems.

The Opportunity
Regular hours!
Monday-Thursday: 8:45am-1:45pm, 20 hours per week at the Chelsea clinic.
This is an ongoing Part-Time position under the Health Professionals and Support Services Award commencing at Level 2, Year 1.
The role
- Acting as the first point of contact when clients and external agencies contact our service
- Making and managing appointments for our counselling team
- Invoicing and collecting payments
- Collecting patient information, maintaining patient privacy and accurate data entry
- Answering customer enquiries via phone and email
- Building rapport and positive relationships with our clients
- Assisting our practitioners with administration tasks relevant to therapy
- General typing and computer work
What do you need to join?
- Strong customer service and communication skills - face-to-face, via telephone and in written correspondence
- An ability to build rapport with clients, make them feel welcome and at ease
- Experience with practice management software, Medicare and Eftpos is advantageous
- Proficient use of Microsoft Excel, and Word
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Confidence to enforce policies and procedures with clients
- Prepared to start work at 8.45am, Monday to Friday at the Chelsea clinic.
