Our Client, Torryburn Stud, is a highly successful boutique thoroughbred stud consisting of 1200 picturesque acres steeped in colonial history, nestled in gently rolling hills near Gresford, in the beautiful Paterson Valley, NSW.
Through hard work, superb horse care and handling techniques, combined with meticulous breeding programs which are being proven in the ‘winners circle’ and sales rings, Torryburn Stud is growing from strength to strength, by reputation!
Reporting to the Stud Manager, this role will provide critical support to ensure the efficient day to day running of the office from front to back, and across all aspects of the business.
The responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Reception/ answering calls and fielding enquiries
- Maintaining and updating Breeding/treatment/ownerships and media files of horses on and off farm
- Organising events and travel
- Breeding/Sales spreadsheets
- General Secretarial duties
- Scheduling meetings and taking minutes
- Ordering and taking stock of supplies and uniforms
Skills/knowledge required;
- must be an outstanding team player with excellent communication, able to build and foster professional relationships and provide outstanding customer service
- high levels of organisational management, accuracy, and attention to detail are critical attributes
- ideally, be completing or have a Certificate in Administration (or similar)
- must have a good working knowledge of Excel, complemented by excellent computer skills are ESSENTIAL
- having a background & knowledge of horses essential, and an understanding of stud management and the thoroughbred industry, preferred
- MYOB, Ardex Software, social media, and website management experience advantageous.

30-38 hours per week, Monday-Friday; salary negotiable commensurate with experience.
