We strive to have the best talent in the industry, as we are an expanding company in South Australia. We are looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated Administration Assistant to join our beautifully refurbished national head office, located on North Terrace in the heart of Adelaide.

Our administrative team are the heartbeat of the business. Primarily reporting to the National Operations Manager and National General Manager, you will be responsible for supporting their roles and ensuring seamless communication between our office team and technicians. Using your problem-solving skills, optimistic attitude and tenacity, you will also action a variety of administrative tasks and clerical support activities.
The applicant will have a professional presence, being able to uphold and contribute to the ethos of Metropolitan Gas & Plumbing, able to exercise initiative, discretion and confidentiality. You will be able to prioritise tasks and time manage effectively in a fast paced office environment.
You will be required to undertake a variety of tasks including and are not limited to:
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Receiving and screening telephone calls
- Booking jobs
- General administrative support
- Setting up iPads and phones for new technicians
- Setting up new office staff
- Collating reports & documentation
- Dictation and word processing
- Drafting correspondence
- Collating and compiling reports in Excel
- Maintaining the office - stationary and supermarket orders, organizing post, cleaning the coffee machine etc.
- Booking accommodation and flights when required
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum 2 years administration experience in a similar role
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel (essential)
- Accuracy and attention to detail (essential)
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- High degree of professionalism and confidence
- Ability to work independently
- Resilient mindset
- Ability to touch type - speed of 50-80 words per minute
